Your Relationship With God

Our intimacy with God, His highest priority for our lives, determines    the impact of our lives. To have a relationship with God we must first be saved, that is we must confess to God our sins and except Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Why?, because that is the way God designed His plan for our lives. As most know that a Savior was born of a virgin some two thousand years ago, (to some this may seem far fetched but defiantly true) to save the world. Scripture tell us this in  John 3: 16-17 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  Look close at what verse 17 say’s, it does not say that the world will simply be saved but, that the world might be saved if you accept Jesus and that He died for your sins. So even though you may know the story about Jesus, this will not save you, but by confessing your sins to God and accepting Jesus you will be saved.

The life of Jesus is like this. We know that Jesus was born of a virgin, which we celebrate at Christmas time but however this is not the most important event, and we know that Jesus was crucified and died on a cross and again this was not the most important event that we celebrate as Good Friday, but the fact three days later He was raised from the dead which we celebrate at Easter time, this is what changed everything for the whole world.

If your are not familiar enough with the Bible, in the Old Testament time’s people had to sacrifice perfect animals to be accepted by God and go to a place after death called Abraham's Bosom (Paradise),  and after Jesus arose from the dead this was the beginning of the new covenant that Jesus gave His own life as the perfect sacrifice that we could be saved and will be with Him in a place as we know as heaven which the bible tells us in  Luke 24:51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.

And this is what the term means to be saved, we will spend eternity in heaven with Jesus himself. Now back to our personal relationship with God this is what you must do accept Jesus personally. Is a personal relationship with God all that important? (Trust me it is everything). God created human beings with fellowship in mind, first with Himself, and then with others. But we cannot fully love one another until we have ourselves experienced the love of God. We experience His love when we willingly surrender to His call to be our Savior, Lord, and Friend.

The Bible tells us this in  Romans 10:9   That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We do not know how much time we have here on this earth so I am asking that you pray this simple prayer, the most important thing that you will ever do.

“Dear Heavenly Father I know I am a sinner and I do accept Your Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and that You gave Him up for me, so I ask you  at this time for Your forgiveness of my sins.  Please come into my heart and give me the strength of the Precious Holy Spirit to live for You.    Amen”

May God Richly Bless You
